The Environment Protection Authority has issued Boral Resources with two penalty notices, for breaching its licence at a quarry at Johns River.
The first incident relates to a sediment pond, which the EPA found was heavily silted and had not been maintained for some time.
It also penalised the company after identifying a large amount of dust coming from a screen house at the quarry.
