After a tough start to their National Water Polo League campaign, the Hunter Hurricanes Men’s team came away with two wins on their road trip at the weekend.
The side, featuring Central Coast players Lachie McLeod, Corey Allan and goal keeper Lachlan Walter staged an outstanding comeback to defeat Queensland in a thriller, 10-nine.
Allan and McLeod both found the back of the net in a 13 to eight win against the host club – the Adelaide/ Hobart Jets.
But The Canes couldn’t complete the trifecta, going down to Victoria 19 to eight yesterday.
