TRADIES THANKED FOR MAMMOTH EFFORT

It was tools down at a Lake Macquarie construction site today, for a special ‘thank you’ barbeque for tradies involved in the ‘Build for a Cure’ project.
Workers have spent the past 10 days building a four-bedroom home at Teralba.
“We’ve had 16 roofers to put the roof on in six hours. You know, people say ‘oh how fast you’ve done it’ it’s not about that – it’s about the effort that every one of those sub contractors have put in to work together,” said Director of McDonald Jones Homes, Bill McDonald.
Work will now get underway on finishing the house’s interior.
The project will be unveiled on Sunday week, with all proceeds from the October auction going to the Children’s Cancer Institute.
