A man has been charged with murder over the death of a baby girl in Newcastle.
Police say the three-month-old was found unresponsive in a Hamilton South unit on August 4.
She was rushed to John Hunter Hospital, but later died.
A 24-year-old man was arrested at Maitland this morning, and charged with murder and sexual intercourse with a child.
He’s been refused bail and will face court tomorrow.
