Security at Tamworth courthouse is set to be beefed up, as part of the state government’s counter-terrorism response.
Two new sheriff officers have been allocated to the city and began training today.
The positions will ensure added safety for workers at the courthouse.
More than 40 recruits will be appointed to new roles around the state in the next financial year.
