Coffs Harbour’s War Memorial Swimming Pool Complex is to undergo a major upgrade.
The $5-million makeover, which will start in April, includes a new shell for the Olympic pool to prevent leakage.
It will also have a new filtration system installed to improve water quality.
The existing indoor children’s pool will be demolished and replaced with a 25 metre indoor heated pool.
The works will included new amenities and improved access for disabled and elderly bathers.
Once completed, the refurbished complex will be able to operate year-round.
