DEMOLITION WORK BEGINS ON VACANT FOOD FOR LESS BUILDING

The wait is finally over and work has begun to demolish Port Macquarie’s vacant Food for Less building on Short and William Streets.
Due to the site containing some asbestos, Hunter-based demolition specialists Drumderg Services have been contracted to undertake the works.
As part of the project, the company says a hazardous materials report will be written and all asbestos noted in the report will be removed.
It’s expected to be demolished by Christmas.
