Record number of shearwater fledglings rescued over weekend on Coffs Coast

Volunteers have rescued a record number of threatened birds over the weekend along the Coffs Coast.

The shearwater fledglings are attracted to artificial lights during their maiden flights to the open seas, while strong winds have also grounded dozens of birds.
