A 12-year-old girl was hospitalised after being hit in the back of the head with a board during nippers training at Kirra Beach this morning.
Rescuers were quick to respond, pulling her out of the water.
”From there, they had more than enough water safety to pick her out of the water as soon as it happened”
She was assessed by paramedics and a doctor before being taken to Gold Coast Hospital with suspected spinal injuries.
