The Newcastle rep side, has completed its warm up to the country championships in impressive fashion, hammering Canberra 38-19 this afternoon.
The home side got off to a perfect start, at one stage leading 31-nil.
Coach Scott Coleman will announce his squad of 25 players at training on Tuesday night, with Newcastle to play its opening game of the country titles against New England in Armidale next Saturday.
