Heavy rain, hail and waterspout lash the Hunter and Central Coast

Large parts of the Hunter are cleaning up tonight, after ferocious unseasonal storms rolled in, lashing the region with heavy rain, hail and even a waterspout.

The SES has been inundated with more than 400 calls for assistance across the Hunter and Central Coast with crews from as far as the Mid North Coast now on standby to help.
