FLOWBACK WATER CONCERNS CONTINUE AT AGL’S CSG SITE

Concerns about the storage of flow-back water on AGL’s controversial CSG site near Gloucester have surfaced again.
Lobby group Groundswell Gloucester has sought legal advice from the Environmental Defenders Office, claiming the energy giant should have its licence revoked.
“Even though it’s in containers they are actually not allowed to do that under certain aspects of their licence so it’s a million dollar fine potentially,” Groundswell Gloucester’s Julie Lyford said.
The group has lodged a complaint with the EPA.
