DAMIAN MARTIN CALLS TIME ON INCREDIBLE CAREER

Australian basketball veteran Damian Martin has called time on his incredible career – after six NBL championships, more than 300 games and a gold medal with the Boomers at the Gold Coast Commonwealth Games.

Lower leg injuries sealed the Gloucester boy’s decision.

The Australian rep credits his parents and junior coaches from Newcastle and Lake Macquarie for helping him reach the heights of professional basketball.

He’s considered one of the best defenders in NBL history.
