Boy pricked by hidden needle

An eight-year-old boy was hospitalised after he pricked himself on a used needle hidden inside toilet paper on the NSW Mid North Coast.

The child was using a public bathroom on Koala Street in Port Macquarie just before midday on Sunday when he pricked his hand on the concealed needle, which was still attached to a syringe.

The needle had been rolled into the toilet paper roll, police have been told.
