Gosford Council will weigh in on the same-sex marriage debate tonight, with a joint motion going before council to support change.
The motion won’t have any real consequences for residents, but council says if successful, it will be a symbolic vote in the fight for equality.
The same-sex marriage debate will be re-visited by the federal government next month, with a cross party bill on the matter set to be introduced on August 11.
