23-YEAR-OLD CHARGED WITH ATTEMPTED MURDER, FOLLOWING MAYFIELD SHOOTING

A 78-year-old shooting victim remains in a stable condition in hosptial tonight, after allegedly being ambushed at his Newcastle home.

A Seahampton man was today charged with attempted murder, and refused bail.
