One man is dead, while another is in a critical condition after a fatal crash on the Central Coast this morning.
Just after 10 o’clock, emergency services were called to the M1 in Somersby, west of Gosford.
Initial reports suggest a van and a truck collided.
Authorities have confirmed the driver of the van died at the scene, while the passenger was treated by paramedics before being airlifted to hospital in a critical condition.
Emergency services say the driver of the truck was not injured.
It’s caused northbound lanes to close and diversions are in place on M1 Pacific Motorway through Somersby.
Investigations are continuing.
