NEW SOUTH WALES RECORDS DROP IN COVID CASES

There was a welcome drop in COVID cases for New South Wales today – 65 in the past 24 hours.
But with 28 of those out in the community while infectious, the Premier is predicting numbers will climb again tomorrow.
“We need to see a decline,” said Gladys Berejiklian this morning.
Two of the new cases were acquired overseas.
58,000 people came forward to get tested in that same period, with the state’s Chief Health Officer echoing the Premier’s message and reiterating the need to follow the lockdown order.
“Please stay home, don’t go out,” Dr Kerry Chant said. “The threat of COVID is everywhere.”
