UNE WORKING TO BUILD ZERO TOLERANCE CULTURE TOWARDS SEXUAL HARRASSMENT

The University of New England says it’s working towards building a culture of zero tolerance of sexual assault, as the academic year begins.
It follows the Australian Human Rights Commission’s study into sexual harassment and assault at universities, where UNE topped the country for the highest per cent of survey participants reporting sexual assault.
UNE says it’s taken steps to implement all recommendations made by the commission, and developed further support services for students, including a webpage and mobile app.
