$203-MILLION UPGRADES COMPLETE ON NEWELL HIGHWAY, AT BOGGABILLA

A $203 million upgrade of the Newell Highway has wrapped up.
High capacity concrete has been laid along a 27-kilometre stretch of road, between Mungle Back Creek and Boggabilla.
Rumble strips have also been added to both sides of the road to increase safety.
The project was jointly funded by the state and federal governments – to accommodate increased freight between Brisbane and Melbourne.
“Important infrastructure, connecting not only the produce of the region, but also the capital cities of Victoria and Brisbane.”
