Abermain bushfire brought under control

It’s been a scorching start to the school holidays in Northern New South Wales – the mercury climbing well above the mid-30s across large parts of the state.

Braving the conditions, our firefighters, who have been put to the test across dozens of blazes, including a bushfire near Cessnock in the Hunter – which tonight is being brought under control.
