CHRISTMAS BACKPACK APPEAL FOR HOMELESS

Pearl Beach residents are working hard to brighten the spirits of those living on the streets this festive season.

So far, they’ve already put together 120 backpacks for the homeless community which, for $50 each, contain essential items, non-perishable food and some Christmas goodies.

“They always need things to have a shower with, to give them a little bit of comfort food and clean their teeth, have a deoderant. It’s amazing what they don’t have.”
