TINKLER AND MIRVAC CLOSE TO SETTLEMENT

Mining magnate Nathan Tinkler and property giant Mirvac appear close to reaching a settlement over a failed land deal in the Hunter.
Mirvac’s sister company, Domaine Steel River, had sued Mr Tinkler’s Ocean Street Holdings, after it failed to pay $17-million for industrial land for a new coal terminal in Newcastle.
It’s understood both parties have agreed to complete the contract next Monday.
The matter will return to the New South Wales Supreme Court on Tuesday.
