A bus errupted into flames on the corner of Lake and West Street in Forster today after it was allegedly deliberately lit by a female passenger in the on-board toilet facilities.
A dozen firefighters battled the blaze which broke out just after 1pm.
Sixty passengers managed to safely evacuate – the driver was treated for smoke inhalation.
A power line was also damaged, causing outages along the main street.
Firies and police are investigating.
