Hundreds of lorikeets found with paralysis on North Coast

A mystery illness is ravaging rainbow lorikeet populations across the North Coast, with hundreds found in various stages of paralysis between Coffs Harbour and the South East Queensland.

Vets and wildlife carers say the birds are suffering from Lorikeet Paralysis Syndrome – but its cause, remains unknown.
