Tamworth cafe ‘Gemocha’ did its part in the fight against homelessness today.
One of just three in the north west region to take part in the CafeSmart campaign, a dollar from every hot drink sold today goes towards finding accommodation for those in need.
Last year, funds raised in Tamworth saw 40 people secure private rental accommodation.
“I feel very strongly that we have a population in Tamworth that really needs help when it comes to finding affordable housing.”
There’ll be a cash donation box available in store for the next week.
