WAUCHOPE GRANDFATHER COMPLETES MAMMOTH RIDE FOR CHARITY

Wauchope grandfather Rod Everingham is enjoying a well earned rest after completing a gruelling 1,400 kilometre ride, to raise money for charity.
After losing his grandson Pat Coombes to a brain tumour seven years ago, Rod founded the ‘Pedal for Pat’ fundraiser to help other sick kids and their families.
He received a warm welcome this morning as he finally hopped off the bike.
The two week cycling challenge has raised a whopping $25,000 for children’s hospice Bear Cottage and The Kids’ Cancer Project.
