The Newcastle Northstars have split their double-header at home, beating Perth this afternoon 6-1.

Last night, Newcastle trailed two-nil against Canberra, before Sammy Banga made it two-one.

The Northstars fell behind again, Tommy Landa made it four-two.

But the visiting Brave went on with the job, eventually winning six-two.
