A Werris Creek man’s in hospital after a blaze tore through his Dewhurst Street home overnight.
Emergency services were called to the property just after 10 o’clock, arriving to find the house well alight.
The 56-year-old was taken to Tamworth hospital and treated for smoke inhalation and burns to his feet.
Forensic police spent today investigating the cause of the blaze.
