HUNTER TOURISM RECOGNISED AT STATE AWARDS
The Hunter has been recognised as a top tourism destination in NSW, winning 14 awards at last night’s NSW Tourism Awards.
The region took out eight gold, four silver and two bronze awards with notable winners being Scone Motor Inn, Margan Restaurant and Wyndham Estate who have won their categories for the past three years and received entry into the Hall of Fame.
They excelled in standard accommodation, Tourism Restaurants and Catering Services and Tourism Wineries, Distilleries and Boutique Breweries categories respectively.
Two of the Hunter’s individuals were also recognised with Belinda Stapleton taking out the Young Achiever in Tourism and Philip Hele winning outstanding contribution to tourism by an individual.
