The Greens candidate chosen for the federal seat of Cowper says unemployment and coal seam gas mining are the key issues for voters.
Former school principal Carol Vernon says the eight per cent jobless figure in the electorate is far too high.
Mrs Vernon said,”Jobs is one of their big concerns but also protection of their land and water is a huge concern for people from Cowper.”
Carol Vernon says the Greens have yet to announce which major party will get their preferences.
