SOCIAL MEDIA HELPS CATCH ALLEGED MAN WANTED OVER ARMED ROBBERY

Social media has proved its worth in crime fighting over the weekend, after it led Brisbane Water detectives to catch the alleged perpetrator of an armed hold up.

A 29-year-old Mardi man has been charged with two counts of armed robbery after police posted CCTV images to their Facebook page.

It’s alleged the male was responsible for the robbery of a liquor store on Donnison Street in Gosford on April 9.

The man was also charged in relation to an armed robbery of a newsagency in Merrylands in Sydney.
