PAIR LOCKED IN COUNCIL BATTLE READY TO CONCEDE DEFEAT

A Bendemeer husband and wife team locked in a fierce dispute with Tamworth Regional Council say they’re almost ready to give up
They claim a decision to allow free camping along the town’s Macdonald River has come at a heavy coast – robbing them of their livelihood – with the result set to affect the entire township.

  1. If this is a legal camping site and is all above board. Why is it the toilets on this site over flow into the McDonald River at least twice a week because the septic system is not approved by council. It is morally wrong to have a camping ground next to a caravan park.

  2. I think Col Murray and the other Councilors need to think about what they would do or feel if the rolls were reversed. I think it is a shame that we have these sorts of comments from those who we elected into council.

  3. How do you justify the free camping in Bendemeer.,a town you used to call home, Mayor Murray. a pub used to drink in, a school your grand kids went to school at , a shop you used to drink coffee at. All now have a threat to their buisness all because you allow free camping next to a caravan park which has our only fuel supply. What about the other businesses who rely on the fuel. the sawmill, the fire brigade, the self employed people of the town, all the farmers, and the school families.how do they now operate? This is morally wrong.
