HARTCHER DENIES COLLECTING BANNED DONATIONS IN ICAC INQUIRY

Central Coast MP Chris Hartcher was front and centre again today, as the long-running ICAC inquiry into alleged cash-for-favours wound up.

The former New South Wales minister denied collecting money from banned donors to fund election campaigns for Liberal candidates.

He also refuted accusations that he pocketed some of the money.

Mr Hartcher and his supporters again tried to avoid cameras and questions with another carefully planned exit strategy – heading to a basement carpark where a vehicle was waiting with its engine running.

The next round of hearings begins in August.
