SEAGULLS PREPARE FOR STATE OF ORIGIN-STYLE CLASH

To the Queensland Cup,

And the Tweed Seagulls hope to extend their winning streak when they take on Burleigh Bears at Piggabeen Sports Complex tomorrow.

The homeside’s already won nine of their last 11 games, but Seagulls coach Aaron Zimmerle admits Burleigh will be a tough to beat.

“Burleigh are on the rise, but they are our rivals so that’s an emotional game which means the players will get excited. Alot of the time in the middle of the season, you start to hit a flat spot because the body aches, it’s hard to get excited about the season, the beauty for us is that it’s a middle State of Origin clash, mates playing mates.”

Kick off is at 2pm.
