The Governor General Sir Peter Cosgrove and his wife, were in Cessnock today to open the town’s new PCYC club.
The new $7 million development, built on Wollombi Road, includes a gym and sports hall, activity rooms and fields.
When it’s completely fitted out it will also have an indoor skate park and climbing wall.
The original PCYC served the community for more than 60 years.
