Warm conditions did little to slow down Luke Cantrell and Paul Kucera who took out the 35th Beechwood Billycart Classic on Sunday morning.
The Wauchope locals won the five-kilometre race down Mount Pappinbarra, near Wauchope, in six minutes and eight seconds.
Port Macquarie-Hastings Mayor Peter Besseling swapped his mayoral robes for a helmet and knee pads for the ride-on esky race, which was undoubtedly a crowd favourite.
Funds raised from the event will go towards the Westpac Rescue Helicopter Service and the Beechwood Grounds Trust.
