Police have identified a woman whose body was found floating in the Hunter River near Maitland earlier this week.
A kayaker found the body of 61-year-old Elizabeth Small on Sunday morning.
Police say after a post mortem they still don’t know how the Maitland woman died.
Mrs Small was last seen around 2.30pm last Tuesday when she used an ATM outside a building society in the Newcastle suburb of Hamilton.
She had been reported missing by her husband last week.
Maitland detectives want to speak to anyone who saw Mrs Small last week.
