A 27-year-old male nurse has been charged with two counts of murder following the deaths of two nursing home residents at Wallsend last year.
In October 2013, Ryan Kelly and Gwen Fowler died from a suspected insulin overdose at Summitcare.
A 91-year-old woman was also hospitalised with insulin poisoning, but survived. The man is also charged with attempted murder.
Detectives from Strike Force Correa arrested the man at Redhead this morning.
