A 52-year-old man has been charged with a string of drug and driving offences following a police chase in the Hunter.
Officers attempted to stop a motorcycle, which was carrying two people and allegedly unregistered, on Kendall Street at Bellbird yesterday afternoon, but police say the rider sped off.
A pursuit began and it’s alleged the man reached speeds of 130 kilometres per hour in an 80 zone.
The chase eventually ended at Mount View, where the rider lost control of his bike.
He was allegedly found to be in possession of eight grams of methalamphetamine and more than $2,000 cash.
He’ll face Cessnock Local Court today.
