Tamworth’s proposed Adventure Playground will begin construction on July 28, nearly nine months later than anticipated.
The project was halted in August last year due to the discovery of Indigenous artefacts.
During the seven months of delay, the park’s committee received further funding to bring the total contribution to $800,000.
The extra money will go towards an embankment, with an extra $33,000 sought for a 32 metre flying fox.
For anyone wanting to volunteer with the building process, a registration desk will be open every Thursday from March 26.
