After 12 days of competiton, a Fox Terrier from Lismore has claimed the ‘Best in Show’ title at Sydney’s Royal Dog Show.
Four-year-old Lex Luthor was awarded the ribbon yesterday afternoon, beating more than 4,000 dogs who entered the event.
An international judging team, led by Japan’s Sumiko Ikeda, found Lex to have the most flair and skill out of the seven finalists.
“You dream you can do this but never really think it will happen. Lex comes from a long line of winners – his Father won Best in Show previously and his Mother won Best in Show in Brisbane so there is obviously something in the genes,” said Lex’s owner Lee Rushforth.
“Everyone wants to win Sydney Royal so we are over the moon with the result – I really couldn’t be more proud of him.”
