PLYMOUTH BRETHREN CHURCH APPROVED
Council has approved plans for a $250,000 Plymouth Brethren church at Forest Hills.
A single story hall with a 35-space car park will be built on the corner of Sequoia Drive and Whiporie Close.
It’s been criticised by nearby residents, who fear it will result in increased noise and traffic.
“We don’t regulate any other Christian church service anywhere in the city so it’s probably a bit unreasonable to regulate this particular application.”
The group has been given permission to start its Sunday service at 6am, as opposed to council’s initial 8am recommendation.
