Novocastrian Motorsport driver Aaren Russell returns to the scene of his first podium this weekend, as the V8 Development Series heads to Ipswich.
The result was one of the best in his career, but Russell knows a similar finish won’t come easy.
“It’s just another circuit to me. Yeah we got a podium there but we have to back it up and do it all over again. I’m looking forward to the challenge,” he said.
At the last round in Townsville, Aaren was sitting inside the top 10, before being taken out in the final race.
His car has since undergone major repairs.
“We were making gains across the weekend, Saturday we were 8th, Sunday we made a huge gain but never really got to see the potential of the car in the race.”
