The Northern Inland Academy of Sport has a new Executive Officer, with James Cooper promoted to the role.
He’ll replace Jason Lincoln, who’s taken up a management position at the University of New England’s St Alberts College.
Having spent the past two years with the organisation, Cooper is looking to continue a strong growth period for NIAS, which has seen five new sports programs added in the past 12 months.
“I think we can offer our coaches a bit more with coach education. But as far as our sporting programs go, and as you said with the event, there’s no point in having change for change’s sake.”
He officially begins with his new job title on September 7.
