Residents at Fullerton Cove and Tilligerry Creek hope to receive more information about chemical contamination originating from the Williawtown RAAF base, at a special community meeting tonight.
The Defence Department will conduct the forum following the announcement of ground and surface water contamination, two weeks ago.
Traces of potentially dangerous chemicals, found in fire-fighting foams, were found in the area following their decommission in 2008.
The meeting will be held at the Stockton RSL on September 16… in the meantime the community has been urged NOT to drink bore water, or eat eggs, or fish from the area.
The Department of Defence says it continues to liaise with federal, state and local government departments on the issue.
