Coffs Harbour High School has received a prestigious commendation
from the State Education Department for its Garlambila Youth Theatre Group.
Its program “A Musical Soul” was devised by staff and students after consultation with the indigenous community.
“We were absolutely thrilled because I’ve seen what wonderful things have happened over the 2 years with this program, the opportunities for students and the connections with our community.”
The citation describes the group’s public shows as outstanding performance art and a good example of community engagement.
