Police are looking for two men who threatened the owner of a newsagency with a sword and firearm on the Central Coast.
Emergency services were called to the store at Avoca Beach just before 3am, after the masked men confronted the 61-year-old, demanding cash.
They assaulted him before fleeing empty-handed.
The owner was treated at the scene for minor injuries.
