KOALA HOSPITAL RECEIVES GENEROUS DONATION
Port Macquarie Koala Hospital has received a much-needed financial boost, with Mitsubishi Australia handing over a $3,000 donation.
The company aims to support local conservation projects.
“We look for the good organisations in NSW and came to this great hospital. And the koala, you know koala is the ideal animal that Japanese would like to support,” Mitsubishi Australia Vice President Nobu Hirota said.
It couldn’t have come at a better time for the hospital, which survives without government funding.
“It’ll go towards our conservation area over on the north shore where we have a new plantation happening out there, we’re in the preparation stages. So it’ll go a long way towards helping us out there,” Koala Hospital President Bob Sharpham said.
