75TH ANNIVERSARY OF SINKING OF MV NIMBIN ON THE CENTRAL COAST
Norah Head, a sleepy seaside town on the New South Wales Central Coast, it’s hard to imagine World War Two arrived on its doorstep.
On this day, 75 years ago, a small merchant ship was sunk just off the coast of Norah Head.
7 men lost their lives, in what is now known as one of the first attacks on Australia’s coastal defenses.
